The next weekend, we were off to Roanoke, VA. This was Memorial Day weekend – so, to get things started off on the right foot Denise and decided to take in a show at Nissan Pavilion in Fairfax, VA on our way down. We saw Coldplay and it was, as always, a phenomenal show. The wedding in Roanoke was for another good friend, teammate, and fraternity brother of mine – Tyler Benedum. Tyler and Christine (Grecus) are dear friends and we are so happy for both of them. We had the opportunity to meet a lot of great people on Christine’s side of the family as well as spend time with Tyler’s family which is always fun. Since we started off the weekend with a bang, we had to end it with a bang as well and took in another great Coldplay show back in Camden, NJ that following Tuesday.
Next up, Denise and I celebrated our second anniversary June 2nd. We decided to keep things low key this year with everything else we have going on. The next day, my baby brother Michael and his wife Melissa (McCracken) said their vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony here in Wilmington, DE. I had the honor of being the best man at this event. We are really excited for both of them as they are expecting their first child, my first nephew – Michael Vincent Page, Jr. More to follow on this in September.
Finally, this past weekend we were guests at the wedding of Denise’s college friends – Dave and Nicole (Ferrari) Lasus. This event took place about 45 minutes north of us in Bensalem, PA. It was also a picturesque outdoor ceremony. It was great seeing some of Denise’s college friends and meeting Dave and Nicole’s families.
At this point, Denise and I are starting to feel a little like the wedding crashers. Without another wedding until Denise’s sister Kate’s in August, we’re not really sure what to do with ourselves unless someone is passing hors d’oeuvres or cutting a cake. Needless to say, I think we could use the rest.
