Michael Vincent Page, Jr. arrived this morning at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE at 8:42AM. He is 5 lbs. 5 oz. and 18 inches long. Despite being three and a half weeks early, Little Mike got big vote of confidence from the medical team scoring 9 out of 10 on the Apgar Scale (a numerical expression of an infant's condition, usually determined at 60 seconds after birth, based on heart rate, respiratory effort, muscle tone, reflex irritability, and color).
Mom, baby, and Dad are doing great. I'm sure Melissa and Michael are a little tired after heading over to the hospital late last night and then, of course, the events of this morning. If all goes according to plan, they could be bringing him home as early as Friday for a nice long Labor Day weekend. Congratulations to Michael and Melissa and welcome to little Mike.
